Security and continuity budgets and resources are under pressure due to market conditions and competing operational requirements and as such, security spending and efforts must be based on solid risk mitigation and business benefit. We understand the importance of ensuring that planning efforts are aligned with business requirements and the need to be appropriate to the size and complexity of the organisation or to meet specific industry or Government compliance requirements.

Risk Assessment

Risk assessment is the process of identification of potential risks and focusing management effort on those that are most important at any point in time.

We need to understand the business processes the business relies on, the direct and in-direct cost of those processes becoming unavailable.

Only after this process, we must understand the technology and people that those processes rely on. Through a series of interviews, we isolate the requirements and map out dependencies of processes on technology and people. Leveraging our experience in data protection, we’re then able to suggest technology and infrastructure options for protection of data, applications and services, taking into account their pre-defined recovery time and point objectives.

We have worked with standards, such as AS4360, the HB221 Business Continuity Management handbook, and have developed pragmatic and efficient approaches based on these.
